ESSENTIAL NEW STUDENT INFORMATION: YOUR GUIDE TO A SUCCESSFUL YEAR!

student id's/Access Card

All Fairview students are issued an identification badge. Students must have their Fairview student ID badge to scan in for admission at the entrance doors of the school building, and to board school buses. They must have their ID with them every day at school, and at all school activities. Pictures are taken during registration/schedule pick-up. Replacement ID cards are printed in the front office, the replacement cost $5.

  • Students will have the opportunity to take their picture for their school ID (all students) and yearbook.
  • Please be sure to be school appropriate in your ID pictures (no costumes, wigs, etc) and do not alter your appearance as these pictures are important to identify students on a daily basis and are important for security purposes.

Important Information for New Students

To help you start the year strong, please take a few minutes to review the following important presentations. These videos cover key expectations, school policies, and information that will support your success at Fairview.

* Fairview Cell Phone Policy: “Away for the Day”

In 2025, Fairview High School implemented the “Away for the Day” initiative to create a focused, distraction-free learning environment. This schoolwide policy supports academic engagement, student well-being, and meaningful in-person connections by keeping cell phones put away during the school day.

The “Away for the Day” initiative is an ongoing commitment and will continue in the years ahead as part of Fairview’s dedication to maintaining a positive, productive school culture.

* Class Meetings Overview | All Grades

The Class Meetings presentation at Fairview High School provides students with a comprehensive orientation to school life. It reinforces Fairview’s core identity and values—Realize Potential, Integrity, Lifelong Learning, Whole Person, and Community—while delivering essential counseling updates, academic information, and guidance on resources and safety procedures.

This presentation ensures students understand expectations and are equipped to engage meaningfully in the Fairview community.
