FHS Webteam
About Web Team
The Fairview Web Team is a student group that maintains and improves the Fairview Website. We strive to improve the school's technological climate through improvements and additions to the website. Web Team members do everything from updating information on the website and adding announcements to creating new features and adding easter eggs. Being 100% student run, Web Team gives students the opportunity to develop a website with over 30,000 daily views in an encouraging and positive environment.
Why You Should Join
As a member of Web Team, you can do all of the things listed above involving maintaining a production website. However, you would also learn about web design and development. You can learn how to build websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and also learn how to build responsive, full stack web applications using frameworks like Ruby on Rails and React. You can also learn basic development skills like code reviews, version control, and other collaborative tools used by developers today.
Please keep in mind that anyone, regardless of experience, can join Web Team, as one of our main goals is to teach new members about web development.
To join Web Team, fill out this form, and we'll let you know when our first meeting is.
If you have any questions, contact the leaders, or email the web team.
