Age of Guinevere was created in 2007, by director Janice Vlachos, after several seniors expressed a desire to sing in a SA jazz choir. Now part of the regular accredited curriculum, rehearsing five hours a week, Age of Guinevere is one of nine performing choral groups at Fairview.

This is a small elite choir composed of sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Each of the members of Age of Guinevere also participates in one of the traditional choirs offered at Fairview. Throughout the year, Age of Guinevere performs in four school choral concerts, at the CHSAA and UNC Jazz Festivals, at the South Boulder Area Festival, and during Fairview’s Evening of Open Enrollment. Some years also involve performing at other venues throughout the country.

Enchantment is a select SA choir consisting of sophomores, juniors, and seniors. It is an auditioned traditional choir, that meets during the regular school day. Members of Enchantment perform in Extravaganza, the Metro Choir Festival, the Holiday Concert, Great Works, and the Spring Concert.

Excalibur is an elite, mixed jazz choir consisting of upper classmen. They cover a variety of styles including jazz, pop, and musical theatre, and incorporate occasional choreography. This is an auditioned choir which has many extracurricular expectations in addition to the traditional choir concerts. This group is expected to perform in annual Pop Show and competes in the CHSAA and Greeley Jazz Festivals. Members of Excalibur are required to attend two morning sectionals and must also participate in a traditional choir.

Festival is a large, co-ed, auditioned, traditional choir for upper classmen. Festival meets during the school day. Its members have several performance opportunities. Festival performs in at least four traditional choir concerts throughout the year.

Troubadours is a co-ed choir consisting of mainly of sophomores and a few juniors and seniors. Troubadours meets during the regular school day. Troubadours perform in the four traditional choir concerts throughout the year where they cover a variety of styles including classical, pop, and musical theatre, and incorporate choreography on certain selections.

Voices of the Knight (SATB) is our freshman choir. This class rehearses during the regular school day. This choir is open to all incoming freshman and does not require an audition. Throughout the year Voices of the Knight will perform in Extravaganza (Oct), the Holiday Concert (Dec), the March Concert (March) and the Spring Concert (May).

Chivalry is a fun, extra curricular, TB, non-traditional choir open to students in grades 9-12. This choir is student directed and meets at 7:30 am on Tuesdays. If you are interested in joining, keep your eyes out for details in the fall.

Court of Charlemagne is a (SA) non traditional, extra curricular, student directed choir. This enthusiastic group rehearses on Tuesday mornings at 7:30 and shares their love of music from all genres. Students in grades 9-12 are invited to join in the fun!
