Choosing a major will be one of the most important factors in creating your college list!
Use the "My Majors" website to help learn what you can study in college
- Print out the “Finding Majors - A Quick Exercise Worksheet”. You will list possible majors that could lead to a career on the left side and list subjects that just sound interesting to you on the right (like a hobby).
- Visit the My Majors website** https://www.mymajors.com/college-majors/. Select a category to refine your search and learn more about each major. We encourage you to click on several categories to see which subjects are included and get familiar with your choices. You can also choose to search by colleges or careers on the same website.
- Each major will have an overview, show courses that you would take in that major, list schools that have that major and spotlight careers that are associated with that major.
**Please note the My Majors website is a for profit company where you can access some information for free. No direct or implied endorsement by Fairview should be construed.
