The Fairview Resource Center is located in the FHS library and is a quiet environment for students to receive academic support, tutoring, and other resources. The Fairview Resource Center supports students in Study Hall class and those not enrolled in Study Hall.
Students can also be assigned to the FRC as a study hall. This is a one-semester, 5-credit class that is available for 9-12th graders and is taught by a teacher who provides students with tutoring resources for the core subject areas of the curriculum. It is part of the student's everyday class schedule and can be repeated each semester as needed, but it can be taken only with approval from the student's counselor.
In Study Hall classes, students work on assignments, study for assessments, and access school resources. At times, they may also pursue independent projects.
Walk-in Services are available and include proctored test make-ups, peer tutoring in a variety of subjects, textbook sign-out, use of SAT/ACT test prep materials, computer & printer access, and quiet study space.
