Vanessa Carroll

A National Board certified teacher, I taught high school and middle school English for 12 years at Fairview, Boulder High, Summit Middle School, and a magnet academy in Austin, TX.  Although I miss the classroom, I'm thrilled to transition into the role of Grad+ site lead at both Fairview and Monarch.  My Masters (CU Boulder) is in English/Creative Writing, and my Bachelors (Bates College, Maine) is in English.  A native New Englander, I've lived in south Boulder for almost 20 years now, and in my free time I do what many folks in the area do:  I hike, I run, I read books, and I make sourdough bread and kombucha.  I'm married to a geologist, and we have three great kids and an extroverted cat named Mr. Waffles.
